Building a complete picture of every resort

The Reviewer Program is how SilverSpoonLab gathers first-hand information about resorts for travel agencies and their customers. Our Resort Reviewers stay at selected resorts as regular guests and assess the rooms, food, service and surroundings. The result is a comprehensive, independent picture of each resort, which our partners use to select resorts and advise their customers.

Why south Tenerife

Reliable winter weather and good accessibility

The south of the island is where most of Tenerife’s resorts are, and where many of our partners’ customers go in winter.

  • Close to the airport. Costa Adeje is about 22 km and Los Cristianos about 16 km from Tenerife South airport (TFS).
  • Mild winter weather. January daytime temperatures are typically around 18–21 °C, with the sea around 20 °C.
  • Drier side of the island. The north (for example Puerto de la Cruz) is greener, but usually cloudier and wetter in winter, so we focused on the south.
  • Range of activities. Coastal promenades, beaches, whale-watching trips and day trips to Mount Teide National Park.

A comprehensive assessment of the stay

Every report follows the same structure, so partners can compare resorts side by side.

Room, food and Mount Teide, the three things reviewers look at

  1. Room

    Cleanliness, comfort, noise, view, bathroom and whether the room matches the photos.

  2. Food & drink

    Choice, quality and variety across the all-inclusive offer, restaurants and bars.

  3. Service

    Check-in, staff, problem solving, languages and how guests are treated day to day.

  4. Surroundings

    Beach, pool, area, transport, activities and who the resort really suits.

How it works

From application to published report

All steps and conditions are agreed in writing in advance.

  3. Written agreementYou receive the dates, resort, payment and review brief in writing.
  4. Bookings in your nameWe book and pay the flight and stay and send you the booking numbers.
  5. Your stay & reviewTake notes, explore the area and send your review within 7 days after the trip.
  6. PaymentWe pay after your arrival at the resort.
Full transparency

All trip details can be verified in advance

Before you travel, you receive all the details, so you can verify your trip yourself:

  • Flight number. We send you your flight booking number, which you can check on the airline’s website.
  • Booking.com reservation. We send you reservation number, which you can check on booking.com.
  • We never ask you for money. No fees, deposits or booking charges are required.

You don’t need to be a professional, but you should write clearly and honestly in English.

Where do flights leave from?

We book economy flights, direct where possible, from a European airport agreed with you in advance.

Will the resort know I’m a reviewer?

No. You stay as a normal guest so your experience is the same as any other traveler’s.
